- Study carefully the Rules of the Road booklet
- Find yourself a good driving instructor that is ADI Qualified
- Practice driving as much as possible. Not just on the proposed test routes but on all types of roads and in all types of traffic situations
- Stay positive at all times
- Ensure you build up your driving experience and confidence before applying for your test
You should notify your Driver Testing Centre when applying if you:
- Have a severe hearing problem
- Are restricted in your movements or have any disability which could affect your driving
- Drive an adapted vehicle
Your Driving Test Date
Test dates for driving tests are arranged in the order in which applications are received.
Give yourself plenty of time before booking your test so that you are fully prepared to sit your test.
Something to note is that you might get called with a cancellation and you could have your test earlier than expected so if you’re well prepared you should be ready to do your test and pass.
